Kevin Rose had blogged last week that Apple will hold a special event on September 9th. As Kevin had posted, Apple has sent out invites to a Special Event “Let’s Rock” taking place on September 9th at 10 am in San Francisco. The invite features an iPod like album art screen along with date, time, city and five star rating. The design of the invite is a clear indication that the event will be an iPod only affair. Apple will hold the event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. As always, with all things Apple, we won’t exactly know what Apple has up its sleeve for the event, till Steve comes on stage.
In other news that is related to the upcoming Apple event, Music Week is reporting that Snow Patrol will become the first artists to deliver an interactive album application. The application that will be released along with the band’s new album “A Hundred Million Suns” will be downloadable and will enable fans to access a raft of extra content including artwork, behind-the-scenes images and lyrics via the device. It is very likely that Steve will showcase the new features at the Let’s Rock event.
