$35 Indian Tablet Gets Name and Launch Date

The $35 tablet that the Indian Government has been showing now has a name and launch date. The Android based tablet will be called “Sakshat” a Sanskrit word, which means embodiment. The tablet will be manufactured by HCL Technologies in India. It will come in three versions with 5-inch, 7-inch and 9-inch screens. The 7-inch model will come to the market first priced $35 (Rs 1,500). The Sakshat tablet will ship on January 10th and about one million units will be produced initially for the launch.
