Rumor: T-Mobile to Get iPhone 3GS and Not iPhone 4 Later This Year

It has been rumored for past few months that T-Mobile will get iPhone before Verizon. And, yesterday Wired’s editor Chris Anderson posted on Twitter that T-Mobile will get iPhone 3GS and not iPhone 4 later this year. He posted:

A T-Mobile manager casually mentioned to me that they’re going to get the iPhone 3GS (but not 4, oddly) later this year. Common knowledge?

Our Apple sources have no knowledge about this matter, but they say that it can happen for one of the two reasons. First, because of contract with AT&T, and second to keep Verizon happy, as they will be second carrier in US to get iPhone 4 by end of this year or early next year. We just hope that other carriers in US get the iPhone soon because this AT&T deal is holding back the iPhone.
