Verizon has introduced two new handsets the HTC Touch Pro2 and odd-looking Nokia 7705 Twist. HTC Touch Pro2 will ship today for a reasonable $199.99 (after $100 mail-in rebate) when compared with the $349 price announced by Sprint and T-Mobile. The phone will require a two year contract and an unlimited data plan. The HTC Touch Pro2 will come with 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD card slot. The Windows Mobile 6.1 based phone will use HTC’s TouchFLO 3D UI for easier navigation.

The second phone that Verizon announced today is odd, but good looking Nokia 7705 Twist messaging phone. As you would have guessed, by twisting the screen the slide-out QWERTY keyboard is revealed. The 7705 Twist features 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD card slot. The messaging phone comes with support for web browsing, Mobile Email, Mobile Web Mail, Chat and Blogs. The Nokia 7705 Twist will be available on Verizon’s online store starting September 13th for $99 after $50 mail-in rebate and with two-year contract.
