Apple launched their new iPod nano on 9th September. Apple not only made the new nanos taller but also sleeker and sexier. The new iPod nanos are available in nine bright colors including silver, black, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red and pink, Apple calls the new color lineup “Nano-chromatic”.
Apple has added accelerometer to the new nanos that helps in changing display orientation based on the way you are holding the iPod vertically or horizontally. The accelerometer also adds new “Shake to Shuffle” feature that allows you to just shake the iPod nano to shuffle to a different song in your music library. Lastly, accelerometer adds new games that respond to the way you move, it comes with a Maze game, which lets you work your way through mazes by tilting and moving.
The most talked about feature of the new iPod nano is Genius. Say you’re listening to a song you really like and want to hear other tracks that go great with it. The Genius feature finds the songs in your music library that go great together and makes a Genius Playlist for you. Apple has priced the 8GB nano $149 and the 16GB nano $199.
Many reviewers have posted reviews online for the new iPod nano, below are the three reviews that gives well-rounded overview of what you should expect when you buy the new iPod nano.
