Lenovo Introduces Multitouch ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC and ThinkPad T400s LaptopSubmitted by lalit on September 15, 2009 - 2:11pm.
Lenovo today joined the multitouch club with new X200 tablet PC and T400s laptop. The 12-inch X200 will be able to handle up to two finger inputs, whereas the 14-inch T400s will support up to four finger inputs. Both the systems feature SimpleTap application that enables access to hardware-based functions simply by double tapping anywhere on the screen. Double tap will launch a square tile interface, which will allow users to choose several hardware-based functions including: turning on or off the wireless radio, ThinkLight and microphone, previewing camera, enabling mute, adjusting volume or screen brightness, locking the screen or putting the PC to sleep. The base configuration of T400s with multitouch screen will come with 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive, DVD burner, WiFi and Bluetooth for $1,999. The base configuration of X200 with multitouch screen comes with 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo processor, just 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, WiFi and Bluetooth for $1,654. Both the systems are available today to order on Lenovo’s website.
