Reuters is reporting that at an event on Monday to showcase recently developed technologies that are not yet being marketed, AT&T said that its consumers will be able to use the phone, computer and TV in more interesting ways. AT&T’s Chief Technology Office John Donovan said, “We’re looking at the whole landscape, of what people use, and what’s out there in the home,” and he further added that some of the services might be launched by end of the year.
Some of the examples that John gave were, consumers will be able to listen to their voice mails on their TV screens, download shows from their digital video recorders onto their iPhones and will be able to navigate channels by using the iPhone as normal remote control.
It is very clear that AT&T want to unit all its services into one package and iPhone might be the first device that would benefits from this approach.
