Toshiba and Samsung Planning to Enter Netbook Market in Fourth Quarter

Almost, ever notebook vendor today has either entered the netbook market or is planning to join the race. According to Digi Times, Toshiba and Samsung are both planning to enter netbook market in the fourth quarter this year before the holiday season starts.
Toshiba plans to launch an 8.9-inch netbook called Satellite NB105 in the fourth quarter this year. The netbook will be based on Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 120GB hard drive and Windows XP. On the other hand Samsung will join the race with a 10.2-inch netbook based on Intel Atom processor, 1GB memory, 80GB or 120GB hard drive and Windows XP. Both companies will launch their product in October in Europe/Asia market.
After this launch, only two Apple and Sony, out of the top-10 notebook vendor are left without a netbook on the market. Almost all the netbook on the market are based on Intel Atom processor making the launch of Atom processor very successful for Intel.
