Fujitsu has added multitouch screen option for LifeBook T5010 convertible tablet PC. The new 13.3-inch touchscreen offers interaction with up to two fingers and supports panning, rotating, flicks and zooming. Fujitsu calls the new screen “dual digitizer touch screen”. The 4.5 pounds laptop is based on Windows Vista and comes with Core 2 Duo processor, spill resistant keyboard, webcam and modular bay that supports optical drive or optional second battery. Fujitsu will also offer free Microsoft Windows 7 professional upgrade with the new laptop. The starting price for LifeBook T5010 with multitouch display is $1,859 and it’s available immediately. Multitouch is gaining momentum in the laptop market. Fujitsu is the second company that announced touchscreen laptops today along with Lenovo, which launched X200 and T400s multitouch laptops earlier.
