Canon completed its day of new camera launch with pair of Powershot cameras SD990 IS and SD880 IS. The SD990 IS is a 14.7-megapixel camera with 2.5” LCD screen, 3.7x optical zoom, optical image stabilizer, Digic IV image processor, face detection, motion detection, Servo auto focus and manual control. The camera will ship in October for $399. The second camera SD880 IS is a 10-megapixel camera with almost same features, except it has larger 4x wide-angel optical zoom, bigger 3.0” LCD Screen and doesn’t support manual control. It will also ship in October but will be priced $100 less at $299.
