Canton, the well-known German speaker maker announced that it has started shipping its flagship reference series 3.2DC floor standing speakers. The speaker’s three-way bass reflex system produces outstanding deep bass response and ceramic dome tweeter manages the higher frequencies. This gives the speaker smooth high frequency response that is linear to 38.5KHz. The low frequency or bass is managed by two 8 and ½ inch aluminum woofers, where as the midrange is managed by 7-inch aluminum midrange driver.
Canton uses its high quality crossover network with its signature “DC” displacement control circuitry to limit uncontrolled driver excursions at infrasonic frequencies. The speaker measures 45.37” x 11.62” x 15.87” and weighs 99 pounds. It available in black, white, silver and cherry wood veneer with a rich piano finish. The speakers are priced $16,000 per pair.
