Garmin nuvifone G60 Coming to AT&T on October 4th

AT&T and Garmin today announced the Garmin nuvifone G60 will be available beginning October 4 to AT&T customers. Garmin claims that G60 is one of the easiest to use GPS based phone that fully integrates the world’s best selling GPS navigator with voice, data and mobile web.

The core feature of nuvifone G60 is turn-by-turn navigation and the phone comes preloaded with maps and millions of points of interest (POI). The phone will come with everything a user might need to use the device as an in-car navigation unit including a dashboard and windshield mount. The device will provide turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions, as well as automatic recalculation of route when user misses a turn.

Other features on the phone are full HTML browser, 3-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and 3G-network support. The nuvifone G60 will be available in AT&T stores on October 4 for $299 with two-year service agreement after $100 mail-in rebate. AT&T will also offer Nuvifone Premium connected Service which includes traffic updates, white pages, weather, movie, local events and fuel price for additional $5.99 per month.
