Andy Rubin, head of Google Android said that Google would differentiate Android Market from Apple’s App Store by not imposing many of the restrictions Apple does. He added that developers using Android would be able to allow consumers to try their applications for free before they buy them. According to Rubin, this is one of the biggest complain from developers about the App Store.
Another example, Andy gave about how the Android Market will be different, is that it won’t place limits on how much bandwidth a given application may use up. App Store doesn’t allow applications more than 10MB in size to download over cellular network, you need to use WiFi or computer for that.  Now the problem with this is that developers who have free apps bigger than 15MB will have to pay T-Mobile $2 monthly fee. Rubin believes that because of the less restrictive nature of the Android Market Apple developers might migrate over and Android could become bigger hotbed of innovation than even the App Store.
