Verizon Starts iPhone Style Ad Campaign Comparing 3G Coverage with AT&TSubmitted by lalit on October 6, 2009 - 6:03am.
Verizon has started new ad campaign, which is very similar to iPhone’s ad campaign highlighting various applications for the device. However, Verizon’s campaign riffles Apple’s tagline to “There’s a map for that” showcasing poor 3G coverage offered by AT&T. In the ad Verizon claims that it has 5 times more 3G coverage when compared to AT&T. AT&T has been under fire for dropped calls, slow 3G network and spotty 3G coverage. Also in a recent survey AT&T and Sprint were rated the worst network on west coast. AT&T says that it has invested $18 billion in its cellular network, but most people are not seeing the results. Verizon’s ad campaign suggests that “Before you pick a phone, pick a network.” As it’s very unlikely that Verizon will get iPhone on their network anytime soon. Check out the video of Verizon ad below.
