Sony Introduces VAIO L, CW and X Series Machines

Sony introduced VAIO L, CW and X series computers based on Windows 7. The VAIO L is an all-in-one desktop with 24-inch 1080p multitouch screen. L Series will be available with up to 2.66GHZ Intel Core 2 Quad processor, 512MB NVIDIA graphics, up to 1TB hard drive, up to 6GB RAM, Blu-ray player, TV tuner and HDMI port. The second system announced by Sony is a 14-inch laptop with up to 2.80GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 500GB hard drive, up to 8GB RAM, up to 512MB NVIDIA graphics, HDMI out and optional Blu-ray drive. The VAIO CW weighs 5.3 pounds and measures 13.44” x 9.18” x 1.09”-1.52”. Starting price of VAIO CW is $799.99 and it will also ship next month. The last system that Sony announced today is 11.1-inch X series netbook, which Sony calls a notebook. The new VAIO X series weighs just 1.6 pounds and measures 12.4” x 9.2” x 0.55”. It comes with 2GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, up to 128GB Solid State Drive, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband built-in. Like the P series, Sony will also market the X series as premium netbook/notebook and it will have starting price of $1,299.99 when it ships next months.
