Sanyo has added two new Camcorders to its dual-camera lineup that is designed to take good pictures along with very good video recording. The Xacti VPC-HD2000A and VPC-FH1A are the first camcorders in the world to support next generation video format called iFrame.

The iFrame is a computer-friendly video format that has been specifically designed to simplify the process of working with video recorded from a camera. With iFrame, the video recorded in the camera is in the same format that will be used for editing, which means that importing video is fast and file sizes are small. This translates to quick and easy editing and sharing of movies across multiple platforms and devices. This new format can also be used with both Mac and PC compatible applications due to the use of standards-based technologies such as H.264, AAC, MP4 and MOV.

The Sanyo Xacti HD2000A has a 2.7LCD screen, 8-megapixel image capture, 16x optical zoom, 12-subject face chaser technology, image stabilizer, three dimensional noise reduction (3D-DNR) and 1080p video recording at up to 60 frames per second. The SSanyo Xacti VPC-HD2000A is available on Amazon for $599.99.

The Sanyo Xacti FH1a features 3-inch LCD screen, 8-megapixel image sensor, 16x optical zoom, up to 600fps slow motion video, 12-subject face chaser technology, 3D-DNR and 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1a is available on Amazon for $498.
