Acer has introduced their first Google Android based smartphone called Acer Liquid A1, along with four new Windows based smartphone including E100, E101, E200 and neoTouch S200 (Acer F1). The Acer Liquid A1 will feature 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, quad-band GSM/EDGE, tri band HSDPA, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and microSD card slot. The phone will be based on Android 1.6 and come with new UI that is designed to access entertainment and web bookmarks easily. No word yet on release date or pricing. The second phone based on 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor is neoTouch S200 aka Acer F1. The Windows Mobile 6.5 phone will have 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, quad band GSM, tri band HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, GPS, accelerometer and microSD card slot. It is available now in UK for £470 plus VAT. The other three Windows phones are intended for style-conscious customers and are sleeker and smaller in size. The beTouch E100 and E101 are basically the same phone with 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, 528MHz Qualcomm processor, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and microSD card slot. The difference between the two phones is that E100 will support 3G HSDPA network, whereas E101 will only support quad band GSM/EDGE. The E100 and E101 phones are available in UK for £210 and £159 respectively, plus VAT. The last phone beTouch E200 uses the same Qualcomm processor as E100, but it comes with slide-out numeric keyboard. It also adds 3-megapixel camera, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR to the configuration of E100. The Acer beTouch E200 is available in UK for £225 plus VAT.
