While everyone is waiting for Dell’s upcoming 0.39-inch thick Adamo XPS laptop, Dell quietly updated its Adamo Desire laptops and lowered the price of 1.4GHz Adamo Admire models to $1,499. The new top-of-the-line Adamo Desire will come in Pearl and Onyx colors for the same $2,299 price tag, but it will get faster 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo SL9600 processor, bigger 256GB solid state drive, 4GB DDR3 RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium. The processor update brings the Adamo Desire close to the performance offered by MacBook Air, but it will still lag behind Air as Adamo uses Intel’s integrated graphics engine, whereas Air has NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor.
