Smartphone makers like HTC, Motorola and Samsung who initially supported Windows Mobile OS, are investing in other cellphone OSs, as Windows Mobile market share continues to decrease. The camera on the phone has 5-megapixel resolution and it supports autofocus, smile-shot, blink-shot and LED flash. There is a second camera on top of the screen from video calls.
The i7110 comes with just 50MB of onboard storage, but it support microSD card up to 16GB. The media player on the phone can play almost all the audio/video codec commonly used. The phone measures 4.64” x 2.04” x 0.50”. It’s battery life is rated 6 hours of 3G talk time and 451 hours of standby. The phone will be launch in Russia next month; Europe and Asia will get the phone by end of 2008. Samsung hasn’t announced pricing for the phone yet.
