HP Unveils Two iPaq Smartphones Data Messenger and Voice Messenger

HP has added two new phones to its smartphone lineup, the Data Messenger and the Voice Messenger. The Data Messenger is a touchscreen phone with 2.8-inch QVGA screen and slide out QWERTY keypad. The Voice Messenger is a non-touchscreen candy bar phone with 2.4-inch QVGA screen and BlackBerry like Suretype keypad. Both the phones are based on Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 and they come with optical mouse pointer in place of traditional D-pad like the new Samsung smartphones.
The hardware features shared by both the phones include quad band GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), tri band HSPA (900/1900/2100 MHz), 3.1-megapixel autofocus camera, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth, GPS and microSD card slot. The iPaq Data Messenger will be priced Euro 499 ($660) and the iPaq Voice Messenger will cost Euro 399 ($525). Both the phones will be available through Vodafone in November this year.
