LG Posts Detailed Specifications of Their First Android Handset GW620

LG today launched a website for its upcoming Android handset GW620. The website has plenty of photos, two demo video (added below) and detailed specifications of the phone. The GW620 features 3-inch HVGA touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, quad band GSM/EDGE, dual band UMTS, 5-megapixel camera, 2GB or 4GB internal memory, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth and microSD card slot.

The Android based phone measures 4.29” x 2.14” x 0.62” and weighs 4.9 ounces. Battery life on the phone is 7.7 hours of 3G talk time and 625 hours standby.  The phone features LG’s SNS Manager that ties various social networking services like Facebook, Twitter and other networks into the Contacts app, along with facial recognition that automatically recognizes people in photos and links those shots to the individual contact entry.

LG GW620 will ship by end of fourth quarter 2009 in select European market.
