MSI has introduced their new ultraportable based on AMD’s platform. The new Wind U230 ultraportable uses 1.6GHz AMD Neo X2 MV40 processor and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. Other specifications of the laptop are 12.1-inch 1366 x 768 screen, up to 4GB DDR2 RAM, choice of 160GB, 250GB or 320GB hard drive, WiFi b/g/n, optional Bluetooth and multiformat card reader. The 2.8 pounds laptop will come with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. It will also come with choice of three-cell battery or optional six-cell battery. The three-cell battery will last up to four hours and the bigger battery should double the battery life. Ports present on the laptop include HDMI, VGA and three USB.
