Nokia N900 Now ShippingSubmitted by lalit on November 10, 2009 - 11:04am.
Nokia has started shipping N900 smartphone that is based on Maemo 5 OS and features touchscreen along with full QWERTY keyboard. Nokia said the shipments of the highly anticipated handset have begin in Europe, the Middle East, Russia and North America, but the handset will be available in limited quantity initially. Nokia announced the N900 in August and it featured 3.5-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 600MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 256MB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, quad band GSM/EDGE, tri band HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and microSD card slot. SlashGear has posted a video demo of enhanced features of N900 Maemo 5 OS, which we have added below. The video shows a new app that periodically pulls down contact profile photos and automatically syndicates them out to the various social networking and address book databases across the Maemo handsets.
