Photo of First Samsung Bada Phone LeakedSubmitted by lalit on November 12, 2009 - 11:40am.
Just one day after Samsung announced their open mobile platform called bada, photo of the first phone based on bada platform has been leaked. GSM Help Desk has posted an image, which they claim might be the very first Samsung Bada phone. The website adds that they can’t authenticate the image, but speculates that the first phone might not feature 3G network support as the front of the phone doesn’t have camera for video conferencing. The phone image shows very minimal hardware features except the four touch control button and the large touchscreen. It is believed that Samsung will ship first bada-based phone in first half of 2010. In another Samsung related news, the company today denied that they would drop Symbian OS, which was reported yesterday. In an official statement given by Samsung to Mobile Burn, the company said: Samsung is an initial member of Symbian Foundation and continues to cooperate with Symbian Foundation. At the same time, Samsung supports various existing open operating systems including Symbian, Linux, Android, and Windows Mobile. To provide more choices to meet consumers’ many different tastes and preferences, we will continue ‘multi-OS’ strategy. Our policy is to provide what consumers want when they need.
