RIM Updates BlackBerry Bold and Curve Lineups

RIM today announced two new smartphones based on the BlackBerry 7 operating system – the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380. The Bold 9790 comes with 2.44-inch touchscreen (360 x 480), 1GHz processor, QWETRY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB onboard memory, WiFi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. On the other hand Curve 9380 is all touchscreen phone with no QWERTY keyboard. RIM hasn’t given out much detail about Curve 9380, except that it features a 3.2-inch high resolution touchscreen (high-res with just 480 x 360 pixels) and 5-megapixel camera.

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphones will begin to be available from various carriers around the world over the coming weeks.
