Casio has introduced their first rugged camera Exilim EX-G1, which the company claims is the thinnest and smallest rugged camera. The EX-G1 is just 0.78-inch thick, but it can withstand drop of 7 feet and it is both dustproof as well as water proof up to 10 feet for up to one hour. The camera can also work in temperatures as low as 14F or (-10C). The EX-G1 comes a 12-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 480p video recording, automatic scene selection, underwater scene preset and microSDHC card slot. It features a shooting mode that can take pictures at regular intervals for those who can’t take picture while doing activity. The EX-G1 will ship in December for $299 in red and black colors.
