Magellan Releases Navigation App for iPhone and Car Kit with iPod touch Support

Magellan has releases RoadMate 2010 navigation app for iPhone that offers easy-to-use, voice guided turn-by-turn navigator with spoken street names. The key features on the new app include OneTouch favorites menu, spoken street name guidance, highway lane assist, 3D landmarks, address book integration, in-app music control, find your car feature, pedestrian mode and QuickSpell address entry. The RoadMate 2010 is available on App Store for $79.99.

Along with the RoadMate application, Magellan also announced upcoming car mount kit that features built-in GPS receiver, which can support both iPhone and iPod touch and brings GPS functionality to iPod touch also.  The car kit will also charge the device, allow louder audio via speakers and offer Bluetooth and speakerphone options for iPhone.  No word on price or release date yet.
