BGR has revealed a tip about next Android based T-Mobile G2 handset, which will be manufactured by HTC. The handset will have full touchscreen (without QWERTY keyboard), trackball for navigation, 5-megapixel camera, VGA front camera, 3G, GSM, WiFi, Bluetooth and memory card slot. On the software side it will include media player, full web browser, email, MMS, video messaging, voice dialing and myFaves capability.
According to BGR, the G2 launch was delayed from late February to April due to software issues. In the image above the G2 looks impressive and way better than the T-Mobile G1. With both Samsung and Sony announcing that they will launch Android based handset in 2009 and now HTC showing its commitment to the platform, the Android platform is gaining steam watch out Microsoft.
