Google has sent out an invitation for Android press conference on January 5th in Mountain View, California. The invitation states:

With the launch of the first Android-powered device just over a year ago, we’ve seen how a powerful, open platform can spur mobile product innovation. And this is just the beginning of what’s possible.
Please join us in Mountain View on January 5, for an Android press gathering.

According to the invitation, the press conference will be held from 10 am to 11 am followed by Q&A session, Demonstrations and lunch.

In another Android related news, an internal screenshot (image below) of T-Mobile’s StreamLine employee systems has been leaked showing that T-Mobile and Google will partner up to launch Nexus One Android handset in January. It is very likely that the 5th January Android press conference will be used to reveal this news. According to StreamLine system, Nexus One will only be available on web, and Google and T-Mobile will be splitting hardware and tariff support. T-Mobile will be responsible for billing, coverage, features and rate plans, whereas Google will provide support and troubleshooting for the device.
