Samsung’s executive vice president, Lee Young-hee revealed that Samsung would launch a smartwatch and Galaxy Note 3 on Sept 4th in Berlin. Samsung’s Galaxy Gear Event will take place two days before IFA consumer electronics fair. Lee Young-hee told Korea Times:
“We will be introducing a new wearable concept device called Galaxy Gear at our own event in Berlin on Sept. 4. The Gear won’t have a flexible display. The new device will enhance and enrich the current smart mobile experience in many ways. It will lead a new trend in smart mobile communications. We are confident that the Gear will add meaningful momentum to the mobile industry.”
Lee Young-hee also said that future wearable devices will use flexible display, but the smartwatch that will be launched on Sept 4 will have a “non-flexible display”. She added Samsung has been preparing the smartwatch product for a long time.
Since the rumors about Apple launching a smartwatch started earlier this year, Samsung executives have been constantly talking about how Samsung has been working on smartwatch for a long time and even released concept photos of smartwatches. So that people won’t see them as a me-too company following Apple again, like they did with smartphones.

The highly vocal analyst Ming-Chi Kuo posted in a research note that Apple would kill iPhone 5 when they release iPhone 5C next month. Kuo says that cheaper iPhone 5C will replace iPhone 5 and Apple will keep the iPhone 4S as lower end iPhone model. Kuo also says that the new iPhone 5C will sell for $400 - $500 unlocked.
If priced $400 iPhone 5C will be almost $250 less than current unlocked 16GB iPhone 5, about $150 less than current unlocked 16GB iPhone 4S and about $50 less than unlocked 8GB iPhone 4. While offering iPhone 5 like specifications.
According to Kuo, Apple will likely have iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iPhone 4S for their holiday line-up this year.

It looks like the rumors about Apple adding a third color (gold) to the black and white iPhone line up will be coming true. French website MacBoutic has posted photos showing the back plate of the rumored golden iPhone 5S. Also KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has confirmed that Apple will be launching iPhone 5S in three colors Black, White and Gold.
Another iPhone 5S related rumor, it will come with 128GB storage option and A7 chip based on ARM's 64-bit ARMv8 architecture. It is very likely that Apple will bring 64-bit hardware support to iOS devices because they started adding 64-bit support on the software side with iOS 6.

It’s almost given that we will be seeing the next generation iPhone that will be called iPhone 5S next month. Rumors about iPhone 5S started as soon as iPhone 5 was launched last year. However, those rumors are now distilling into some solid news and below are rumors that we think will come true:
Home Button with Fingerprint Sensor: According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a very reliable analyst, iPhone 5S will have a convex home button with imbedded fingerprint sensor. As the convex home button could be more easily scratched, so a harder material is required. Apple will switch from plastic to sapphire, whose hardness is second only to diamond. Sapphire would protect the home button from being scratched and the fingerprint sensor from being damaged.
A7 Processor: iPhone 5S will feature Apple’s next generation A7 processor. The new processor will be based on Cortex-A15 core and Power VR Series 6 graphics chipset. Rumors are Apple will go with quad-core configuration for the A7 processor, but it’s very likely that Apple might chose dual-core configuration to keep overall power requirement down.
Camera with Dual LED Flash: Many leaked photos have shown that iPhone 5S will use dual LED setup for flash, which should result in better indoor photography and more nature skin tones. As far as megapixels go rumors range from 8- to 13-megapixel. However, the latest rumors claim that it will be an 8-megapixel sensor with F2.0 lens for better low light photography.
Colors: Along with white and black colors the iPhone 5S will also come in gold color. iPhone 5S will be available in three colors rather then two.
Launch Date: ALLThingsD claims that Apple will unveil the next iPhone at a special event on September 10th. They have been accurate with these sort of Apple rumors in past and so we believe that iPhone 5S will be announced on September 10th and ship next Friday September 20th.

9to5mac’s Seth Weintraub got a peek at what early beta of iOS 7 looked like and they have posted some photoshopped pictures showing what the new application icons and UI looks like in iOS7. As you can see in the image above Apple is going for flatter look with Helvetica Nueue Ultra Light like font. Seth also notes:
Perhaps most interesting: There are two color schemes for many of these apps – one black-ish and one white-ish. We’re not sure if they are A/B decoys, if white iPhones and Black iPhones will have their own color schemes or as someone else suggested, the different color schemes might be invoked by the amount of ambient light or the time of day. But it is super-interesting, especially since we’ve heard whispers that the whole UI might shift slightly based on external factors similar to the way the music volume icon switches based on how you hold the iPhone.
In the article on 9to5mac, Seth also talks about other design changes like 5 dots for representation of signal strength and the rumored Airdrop feature. Check out the article on 9to5mac.

Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference is just a week away and rumors about the event have started flooding the blogoshpere. Today, two very interesting rumors were posted that are very likely to come true. The first rumor comes from 9to5mac that claims Mac’s AirDrop file sharing feature will come to iOS devices. Mark Gurman wrote:
Sources say that the AirDrop functionality is currently integrated into the standard iOS share menu. AirDrop will work between two iOS devices and potentially between an iOS device and a Mac. The feature will make it easier than ever to transfer, for example, a photograph or document from one person’s iPhone to another person’s iPad.
The second rumor was posted by CNET, which claims that Apple is planning to launch iRadio service at WWDC. Paul Sloan wrote:
Apple struck a licensing deal Sunday with both Warner Music Group and its publishing arm, Warner Chappell, bringing Apple's free Internet radio product that much closer to launching, according to sources familiar with the negotiations.
The deal suggests that Apple is working hard to unveil what's been dubbed iRadio at its Worldwide Developers Conference, which begins June 10.
The product, which would be tied to iTunes, would be made for mobile devices. It would contain some features not available on Pandora -- such as the ability to rewind a song from the middle of it, sources say -- and would have a simple button that would let users easily purchase a song.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has already said that we will be seeing a major redesign of iOS done by Jony Ivy. And now various rumors about the new features are only increasing the excitement for WWDC 2013 keynote.
