Lacie Unveils Color Accurate LED backlit Displays

Lacie has added three new 700 series displays, the 20-inch model 720, the 24-inch model 724 and the 30-inch model 730. All three displays use RGB LED backlighting that provides 123 percent color gamut of Adobe RGB space. They also have 14-bit Gamma correction to produce improved gradients and color transitions that are more precise than 8-bit monitors. The displays feature ColorKeeper stabilization technology that analyzes the brightness and chromaticity of the backlight to constantly adjust color. The 700 series displays come with Blue eye pro Proof Edition software that assist users to calibrate, profile, verify accuracy and sustain uniformity.
The 20-inch model has 4:3 aspect ratio, where as the 24-inch and 30-inch have 16:10 aspect ratio. The 730 model has 2560 x 1600 resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the 724 has 1920 x 1200 resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio, and the 720 has 1600 x 1200 resolution and 600:1 contrast ratio. The 720, 724 and 730 displays are available now for $2,000, $3,000 and $5,800 respectively.
