Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer said in an Interview that the company is planning to port aspects of Zune interface to Windows Mobile devices. Ballmer didn’t talk about the rumored Zune phone, but said that some parts of the Zune interface will be ported to the Windows Mobile software to give it better media capabilities.
Steve Ballmer stated “ What you’ll see more and more over time is that the Zune software will also be ported to and be more important not just with the hardware but on the PC, on Windows Mobile devices.”  He didn’t say when it will happen or whether we will see use of Zune interface in Microsoft upcoming Windows Mobile 7, which will be released in 2009.
Microsoft has said previously that updates in Windows Mobile 7 will be more focused on touchscreen friendly user interface and easy of use, but will it include Zune media interface has never been revealed. Now, it is evident from Ballmer’s comments that we might see the use of Zune media interface in Windows Mobile 7 after all.
