Asus also entered the quad-core laptop arena with their new 17-inch gaming notebook G71V. You can configure that notebook with up to 3.06GHz Core 2 Extreme processor, 4GB RAM, GeForce 9700M GT 512MB graphics card and up to 1TB of storage via dual 500GB hard drive setup. The G71V comes with Asus’ LevelUp system that can be use to overclock the CPU. The 17-inch screen support full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution and has 8ms response time. There is a small display above the function keys that can show instant messages and system status. The standard option on the notebook includes WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth, DVD burner, USB, HDMI, eSATA and ExpressCard. You can option-up the G71V to add Blu-ray drive and WiMAX. No word on availability and pricing yet.
