SanDisk Launches SanDisk Express, Express Card Based Flash Memory

SanDisk today launched the SanDisk Express line of high-performance flash memory products, based on the ExpressCard technology standard. SanDisk Express products aim at professional videographers and photographers. The SanDisk Express is expected to be available in November in two capacities 8GB and 16GB. The ExpressCard is designed for fast downloads of large video files and is a good solution to off-load video to your notebook computer with no extra cables or readers required. The 8GB card will be available for $499 and the 16GB card will cost $899. Presently only one camera can take advantage of the ExpressCard, Sony XDCAM EX camcorder.
