Cnet is reporting that Australian computer manufacturer Pioneer Computers is marketing a notebook based on Intel’s Centrino 2 platform and new ATI graphics.  The processor specifications for Pioneer DreamBook Style 9800 laptop are Intel Core 2 Duo Centrino 2 processors. The TDP for the processor is listed at 25 watts and the front side bus is 1066MHz. There is no processor in present Intel line-up for laptops that has a 1066MHz FSB or TDP rating of 25 watts. The upcoming Montevina platform based on Penryn technology will have processors with 1066MHz FSB and 25 watts TDP. The mobile Centrino 2 platform will be released in June but that is not stopping pioneer computers to jump the gun.
