Asus today announced the newest member of their desktop family, Essentio CS5100 Desktop PC. Asus claims it’s “ The world’s smallest Desktop PC equipped with a fully embedded discrete graphic card.” If you just look two years back the first generation of Mac mini that were at least one third smaller than the CS5110 came with discrete graphic card. In 2008 this is definitely the smallest desktop with discrete graphic card. The CS5110 measures 7.9” x 11.4” x 3.1” and weighs 7.5 pounds. The desktop supports Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual Core and Celeron D processors. The Essentio comes with 3.5” hard drive, up to 4GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT with 256MB memory, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth and DVD writer or Blu-ray drive. Asus has gave no launch date or price for the desktop.
