Commercial Times reported that we would see the next revisions of Macbook in third quarter 2008. The release date for the new Macbook would fall between July and September. According to the newspaper AU Optronics Corp and Chi Mei Optoelectronics Corp, top two Taiwanese display makers have received orders for LCD panels that will be used in Apple’s new MacBooks. Apple is targeting to ship three million new MacBooks by end of 2008 and the order could be worth $50 million for the companies. It is believed the next generation of the MacBook laptops will have all aluminum design and use Intel’s upcoming Centrino 2 platform with X4500 integrated graphics card.
