Google has been working on development of native iPhone application that will be released when iPhone Firmware 2.0 will be launched. Vic Gundotra, Vice president of mobile application engineering said “we expect to have applications at day one.” He also said that development of web applications for iPhone would continue in parallel as these can be continually updated and improved without requiring a new download. Google maps is the only third party application on present iPhone model. Google might develop applications that compliment their online services like calendar and Google Docs.
