A senior executive of Telstra told Australian site ChannelNews “We know what is coming we have seen the new device and it will be available on our network as soon as it is launched in the USA. By Christmas this phone will be capable of 42Mbps which will make it faster than lot of broadband offerings and the fastest iPhone on any network in the world.” Telstra is one off the Australian mobile carriers that have announced that they will carry the 3G iPhone and presently their 3G-network supports 14.4Mbps HSDPA speed.  The company has already said that they will have 21Mbps HSPA network ready by end of 2008 and will start supporting the 42Mbps HSPA+ in early 2009. If the above news is true, then will Apple support the HSPA+ in the coming 3G iPhone or will they update/release an iPhone with HSPA+ support in December.
