TomTom Working on iPhone 3G GPS Application

Apple announced on Monday that the new iPhone 3G will come with GPS, but one thing missing would be turn-by-turn navigation with voice directions. TomTom plans to change that, the company is working on iPhone version of its navigation software and it’s almost ready. TomTom hasn’t provided much detail about features the new application will include. Nonetheless one of the most likely advantages of TomTom's software could be a local database of maps that users can access and customize even if they don't have an Internet connection. iPhone 3G requires an Internet connection to get the maps from Google. TomTom has yet not decided on price and release date for the application.
