NEC today announced EA261WM, a new 26” LCD display with 92 percent of the NTSC color gamut and 1,000:1 contrast ratio. The display has a response time of 5ms and supports full HD resolution. The black bezel of the display hides downward firing stereo speakers. The ports on the display include DVI with HDCP encryption, VGA for most other video and four USB 2.0 for peripherals. The display is aimed at professional, who need higher color accuracy and sharper contrast ratio. It will ship in august for $680.
