AMIMON today announced the availability of its Wireless High-Definition (WHDI) chipset. The WHDI chipset can be embedded into electronic devices such as LCD and plasma HDTV or High-Def DVD players allowing wireless streaming of uncompressed HD video and audio. WHDI supports delivery of uncompressed 1080p and has a range of 30 meters. Devices based on this technology will be show at IFA and will be available by next year.
