AMD Plans to Make Tri-Core Processors

The dual core processors have started to show up in low-end computers and quad core are still in the high-end computers only, so AMD plans to make Tri-core processors to address mid-range market. This gives AMD an advantage over Intel, as AMD will have a complete 1 to 4-core range to serve every market. Additionally AMD will be able to salvage bad quad core processors. The Tri core will be priced between the dual core and quad core. Definitely a Tri-Core will have speed boosts when compared to a dual core but will it be profitable for AMD because a Tri-core is basically a quad core with one core fused.
