It took Wii less then one year to overtake Xbox 360’s total sales in two years. Now for past 2 months even PS3 is beating Xbox 360 in weekly sales. PS3 saw increase in sales when its price was dropped in October. Since then PS3 has been on continues rise. As of today PS3 has sold more then 7 Million units. It took Xbox almost 14 months to reach that mark but PS3 has done it in 12 months. Plus the boast in sales will definitely encourage game developers to develop more games for PS3 which would help PS3 sells in longer run. If PS3 continues to grow at this rate it would be a serious problem for Xbox 360 as Wii has already taken the number one spot for gaming consoles and the fight is on for the second place.
