A RIM patent application published today indicates use of touchscreen in upcoming BlackBerry models. The method used is similar to the touchscreen on the iPhone, but will the implementation be like the iPhone can’t be judged by the patent application. According to ZDnet blog RIM patent are only published 18 months after they are filed, this one has only a four-month gap. The short gap is a sign that the technology will be used very soon in the BlackBerry devices.
