NPD has released US videogame sales data for the month of January and PS3 with 269,000 units came second behind Wii with 274,000 units. Surprise of the lot again was PS2 (264,000) as it came in third ahead of Nintendo DS (251,000), PSP (230,000) and Xbox 360 (230,000). Now if PS2 is out selling Xbox 360 in US market where Xbox sales are strongest compared to rest of the world that is bad for Microsoft. In terms of software sales Xbox 360 and Wii dominated the top 10 best selling US games chart for January 2008.
