Nokia has been working on a touchscreen phone since the iPhone was first introduced last year. Symbian Freak is reporting that the phone is real and will be released in first quarter of 2009. It will be the first touchscreen phone based on 5th generation S60 Platform and will be called “Tube”. The Tube will have a 3” touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio that will not support multitouch, but would have tactile feedback. According to Symbian-freak the camera on the phone is way better than the one that we can find on present generation iPhone. The connectivity options will include Quad-band GSM, HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, uPnP, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. If the information provided by Symbian freak is true the phone will have almost same dimensions as that of the iPhone, but will be almost twice as thick as the iPhone (about 0.30” thicker then iPhone).
