Apple has seeded new version of the iPhone OS 2.0 beta for developers. The update fixes number of issues and adds new features. The features added are centered on Exchange support and include additional abilities of receiving and accepting meeting invitations, searching for contacts in the global address list, auto complete email address in the global address list, and setting up an exchange account using auto discovery. ZiPhone has also found code that mentions “SGOLD3”, that might refer to Infineon’s PMB8878 chip. The S-GOLD3H is a 3G chip that supports 7.2Mbps HSDPA connection, WLAN, A-GPS, Bluetooth, Video acceleration, media playback and up to 5-megapixel camera. One more sign pointing towards the upcoming 3G iPhone. The iPhone OS 2.0 will be released in June and we will mostly see the 3G iPhone by then.
