Gizmodo has posted details about upcoming Thinkpad line-up for 2008. The new X-series will have three new laptops 12” X200, 14” X400 and 15” X500. All the X-series laptop will follow the design philosophy of X300 and will be ultra thin and lightweight. The X-series will be launched around September. The entry-level R-series will be refreshed in July and will include R400 a 14” laptop that will weigh 5.1 pounds and R500 a 15” laptop that will weigh around 6.4 pounds. The business workhorse T-series will get 256 or 512MB ATI’s HD3650 graphics card that can be turned off to conserve battery life. The 14” T400 will be 4.3 pound and the 15” T500 will be 5.8 pounds. The T-series will ship on June 3rd 2008. The completely new W-series will be a desktop replacement laptop. The W900 will be a 15” laptop with ATI’s HD3650 graphics card. Lenovo is also working on a 17” laptop that will be launched in future. All the laptops will use 45nm Penryn processors with 6MB of L2 cache. On many notebooks Lenovo will give options of Blu-ray drive, Turbo Memory, LED Backlighting, GPS, WiMax and Wireless USB. I am just wondering will there be any color options or all the laptops will come in ThinkPad Black only?
