Zdnet’s Mary Jo Foley is reporting that Microsoft is working on another Microsoft entertainment market place called Zune Video X (X for experience). Zune Video X is basically aiming for iTunes video services and will get its inspiration from Xbox Live Marketplace. It will be a unified media service that will sell music, video, TV shows, movies and other related entertainment content. This is not the first attempt by Microsoft to build a unified entertainment marketplace to compete with iTunes. Microsoft has failed in its previous direct and indirect attempts, like eLive marketplace. Some even think that Zune VideoX is a renamed and repackaged eLIve.
